We are pleased to present to you information about the THREE CROSS AWARD scheme.
It is designed to teach First Aid to children in Schools and Youth organisations
Learning First Aid is a vital part of everyone’s education and this programme can be conducted for young people
between the ages of 9 to 13 years old. It is an excellent step towards
helping to save lives. The THREE CROSS AWARD programme is taught with a combination
of video, theory and practical sessions. The course is broken down in three
parts: - ONE CROSS, TWO CROSS and THREE CROSS. It has been designed to be as
flexible as possible. The time taken to complete the course will depend upon
the size and duration of each session.
A person who has a valid St. John Ambulance First Aid certificate can teach the course with the assistance of our
vollounteers. St. John Ambulance Trainers will then conduct the assessment.
Utilising the THREE CROSS AWARD is not only worthwhile; it is great fun and virtually every young person can achieve
success. In addition, we have special certificates for organisations to commemorate
the achievement of 50+ students through the ONE CROSS AWARD and 150+ students through the THREE CROSS AWARD.
Scouts and Guides can wear badges on their uniform. The wearing of these
badges have been approved by both Associations.
